I had spotless and inviting room here with power shower, large bed, as example. Location: the hotel was just off the bars, the local beaches, coastal walking and Kingsbridge for shopping and the pub.

Lovely countryside inn, nice old building, large (family) room, great surroundings, nice town
Bathroom below par, taking a shower was a challege because you have to sit down in bath and shower spray was very weak indeed.

Overall it was a pleasant stay for two nights during our stay. The staffs were super friendly & affable. We really enjoyed the savoury made to order breakfast. The hotel was in a stunning location next to coast and countryside. Moreover, it was 3 km from Start Point Lighthouse.

The pub bar delivers a spacious atmosphere with a rustic charm, complete with traditional features. The menu offers some hearty dishes, like the steak and ale pie with a perfectly crisp pastry that will make your taste buds stand up and take notice.
Breakfast options felt limited, particularly with only sourdough bread available. The evening menu boasted a mere seven main items and just two desserts, which may leave some craving more variety. The location is right on a busy road, inviting some noise which could be bothersome for light sleepers, especially if you prefer leaving windows open for fresh air. Unfortunately, the pub wasn't open due to staffing shortages, which really dulls the appeal of a cozy evening drink after a long day. Just a heads-up, the bathroom had a lingering odor that could have been handled better.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and spacious and the hotel itself is ideally located within the village.
The only downside was our showerhead didn't seem to be working properly so we had to use the bath only- we didn't report this as we were only there a short while and I'm sure if we did the staff would have sorted it promptly.

Good pub, wonderful food, friendly welcome .The manager made us feel very welcome.
The waitress at breakfast could have been a little more friendly, felt as if we were interrupting her cleaning,

Beautiful outdoor seating area, attractive historic charm, high-quality local cuisine
The noise from traffic facing rooms can be quite disruptive!!! The limited dinner menu leaves much to be desired. A touch of sprucing up the decor would enhance the experience!!!

Had a pleasant experience at The Globe Inn, where the breakfast was tasty, and the staff were welcoming. The room was clean, but noise from the bar and road made it difficult to relax. The menu choices were limited, but the food was well-prepared and enjoyable.

Very welcoming, helpful, friendly staff on arrival and in the evening and at check-out.The room was very clean and spacious , bathrobes provided.Books in the room and a book-swap facility is available .....great if you have run out of reading material.Totally enjoyed our stay.
A bit chaotic at breakfast......waited over 30 minutes from ordering, then most orders seem to have got mixed up....still had to remind staff that we were still waiting for coffee and toast,as did other people.....about 40 minutes by the time everyting arrived......still,always liked "Fawlty Towers" ,so no complaints!!!!!!

I have stayed at 41 in London which costs over £350 per night - the rooms in this hotel are on par with this!
Shower was quite poor.
